Renassist can contact your patients’ health insurers and prescription drug plans to determine available coverage for Genzyme’s renal products. In addition, the Renassist team can help facilitate prior authorizations and exceptions.

Patient assistance programs
One form/application is the first step towards helping your patients to access Renvela® (sevelamer carbonate) and/or Hectorol® (doxercalciferol) through their current prescription benefit or through patient assistance for qualifying patients.
Contact your Case Manager to learn more about patient assistance programs such as the
Renal Patient Assistance Program (RPAP) and Genzyme’s
Renvela Medicare Part D Assistance Program (PDAP) which are available for qualified patients through Genzyme and other organizations.
Prior authorization assistance
Renassist will contact health insurers and prescription drug plans to determine the need for and then facilitate the processing of prior authorizations for Renvela and/or Hectorol insurance benefits.
Detailed access analysis
Renassist will assemble a detailed report of your patients’ Renvela and/or Hectorol prescription drug benefits. A Renassist Case Manager is available to answer all of your questions about this report.
